Who we are
JotSpotter is a project of Matthew Jacobi, who is the data controller. Contact: matt@mjlab.com.
What we collect
The email address you give us and the date you gave it. With it we keep the country your connection comes from, as reported by Cloudflare, which hosts this site; the page that sent you here; and any campaign tags in the link you followed (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign).
Why
To send you one email when JotSpotter launches. That email asks you to confirm that you want to hear more; if you do not confirm, we delete your address. We also count visits to this page per day, without cookies and without recording who you are, and send those counts, never your email address, to PostHog, an analytics service whose servers are in the EU.
Legal basis
Your consent, which you give by sending the form. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us.
Where it is kept
Your data is stored in the European Union, in a database that our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps there for us. Cloudflare is a US-owned company, so its role as our processor is also covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Sharing
We do not sell your address or share it with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it or do not confirm the launch email, and never more than 12 months after you signed up.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data by writing to matt@mjlab.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies and loads nothing from other sites.
